Reunion 2009

A major Reunion involving four schools (for some events). It is being jointly organised by St. Patrick’s Alumni International (SPAI) and St. Patrick's Old Boys Association (SPOBA). Please distribute this link, using your email/SMS lists and social networks like Orkut or Facebook, to anyone who knows people from SPS, Loreto, Vincent's and AG Church Asansol so they learn about the mega-event on 4th July. The link: http://www.spsalumni.org/reunion2009

Please ask people from all Asansol schools to visit http://www.asansolschools.org.

Reunion 2009 (3rd-5th July) will be an emotional and fun three-day extravaganza. It is also meant for alumni (and guests) of Loreto Convent, St. Vincent’s and AG Church Asansol who would like to register for Alumni Night on 4th July and enjoy a Kingfisher DJ-revved up dance party and a stately Alumni Dinner. All are also welcome to join us for a Chandrabindoo Concert organised by us at Rabindra Bhavan. Invitation cards will be available shortly.

Why do I need to register? Can't I just show up at the Reunion?
If you plan to attend any part of the Reunion other than the Chandrabindoo Concert, you must (1) create an account on this website (or have someone else do it for you) and (2) Register for Reunion. You can also fill out a form given to you by a local Reunion volunteer. We need this to create your Reunion nametags in advance and we also need to receive your payment in advance. For more details on ways to register (including phone) see below under "Registration Information."

Also, please send a list of any SPS ex-students you know to reunion2009@spsalumni.org.

Giving & Recognition Levels

The required contribution for registration covers cost of food of attendees. Drinks will be purchased separately. Given other costs of events, plaques, etc, only about half our costs may come from registration. Our real costs are likely to approach Rs 1,500 per person.

We request an additional optional contribution from you to help us with the considerable expenses of Reunion 2009 so that our wish to create a memorable experience for you becomes a reality. Any amount helps, however small or big – even Rs 50. See the recognition levels below and please consider making a donation. If you are logged in, go to the "Giving" tab at the top of this page to submit your donation details. Or you could email reunion2009@spsalumni.org and someone will help you.

Those who are not attending are also encouraged to donate at any of the levels below. For about $50 you will get two Levi's t-shirts with the school logo (one signed by all Chandrabindoo band members) mailed to you anywhere in the world. While we're at it, we’ll throw in a school tie as well! Thank you.

Recognition Levels

TypeContribution
Reunion SponsorOver Rs 250
Public appreciation on school notice boards, online groups, etc.
Green and Gold ClubOver Rs 2,500
Those in this "club" have the option of getting EITHER three pieces of memorabilia (1 SPS t-shirt, 1 SPS t-shirt autographed by the entire Chandrabindoo band, and 1 school tie) mailed to them anywhere OR they can become a "fan" of any award recipient: an opportunity to (1) be on stage, say briefly why the Award recipient had an impact on him, and give the award or (2) if the fan cannot be present, send material like a story or a video/audio message that would be shown/played before the award is given. For overseas alumni, this privilege will require a Green and Gold gift exceeding Rs 5,000. An overseas alum could, for example, for Rs 7,500, get memorabilia and be a fan for one award winner. An India-based alum could get memorabilia and be fans of two winners - or get no memorabilia and be the fan of three. If there are multiple alumni who provide a fan gift in the name of the same award recipient, then all would get the chance to go on stage. Comments from alumni who do not give funds are also very welcome, and may be included in the programme, but without names, and may be shorter given time constraints. To inform us about your "club preferences" please contact reunion2009@spsalumni.org immediately. Thank you.
